Theater Program

Our Theater program, led by Ms. Mayna Bragdon, allows students to participate in all aspects of theater production - from acting to screenwriting and set building to lighting design. Students also have the ability to audition for various performances each year, including the annual Fall Production, which has included musicals like Annie and straight plays like Fences and The Prisoner of Second Avenue in recent years.

Our theater students often have the opportunity to perform at prestigious festivals and even on Broadway stages, through the Shubert Foundation High School Theatre Festival and the Queens Student Arts Festival. Three of our theater students even had the opportunity to perform a scene they crafted on the stage of Hamilton before enjoying a matinee of the hit play!
H.A.R.T. Mission Statement
